She grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School in 1935. She met her spouse, Haskell Lemon, when a sophom*ore in high school, and their courtship and marriage lasted 76 years. Irene died at age 95 on Christmas morning after a 25-year struggle with declining health.

We give thanks for the cycle of seasons and circle of life. Haskell and Irene were generous supporters of higher education, the Disciples of Christ church, and the highway construction industry. As founders of Haskell Lemon Construction they partnered to build a company now under the leadership of the third generation. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her six siblings; spouse, Haskell Lemon; and grandson, Dan Wert. The surviving three children and families are: daughters, Lynette Lemon Wert and Martha Jean Lemon; and son, Larry Haskell Lemon.

Grandchildren and their families are: Andrea Wert Ebeling of Topeka, Kansas; Ken Wert, Bob Lemon, and Jay Lemon, all of Oklahoma City. There are 11 greatgrandchildren. Those wishing to honor Irene might plant a yellow rosebush in her memory. She is now with her beloved husband, A.J. Pat was born in Ryan, OK on November 26, 1929, to Ollie and Sally Smith. She was a graduate of Capitol Hill High School, where she met A.J., to whom she was married for 55 joyful years. They had three daughters, Dana, Donna, and Cindy.

Pat was a faithful member of Capitol Hill Baptist Church for almost 70 years, where she sang in the choir and tended babies in the nursery. Her deep love of music also inspired her to join the OKC Community College Symphonic Choir. She devoted her life to her family and her church with passion and quiet resolve, providing for all with her considerable skills as a seamstress, gardener, cook and homemaker; her presence was a comfort to everyone who knew her. She was never one to miss an OU football game on TV and eagerly followed every season. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Sally; her husband, A.J.; and her sister, Jenny.

She is survived by her daughter, Dana Wright husband J.B.; her daughter, Donna Herron husband Tom; her daughter, Cindy Moses husband Kevin. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, as well as numerous friends and loved ones. Pat is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Brooks passed away on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, in Kilgore. Edgar was born on June 30, 1934, in Chandler, OK, to the late Albert and Birdie Brooks. He graduated from high school and had a career as an industrial bricklayer for 40 years until his retirement. He married the love of his life, Dorothea, and they spent the next 55 years making many happy and loving memories.

He loved to work on his farm and collecting knives and guns. His family was the joy and light of his life; spending time with them was his source of strength, and he will be greatly missed by all whose lives he has touched. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Paula (John) Teague, of Kilgore; and Sherri Durkin, of Tennessee; son, Eddie Brooks, of Tennessee; sister, Lois Kanady, of Oklahoma; brother, Eldridge (Genora) Brooks, of Oklahoma; four granddaughters, two grandsons, six great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons.
