Does this page currently (Tuesday 1 pm pst) work for anyone (i.e., returns a warranty lookup result for a system)?

Just tested it and it worked for me...

Thanks for checking. Weird though, it still does not work for me. But Lenovo System Toolbox is able to determine the correct remaining warranty period.

Even weirder, it does work with IE for me too but not with Firefox. Time to clear some cookies, I presume.

Firefox is not good for Lenovo's site for whatever reason...

It's a job for the FireFox extension "IE View."
It can even be set so a page like the warranty
lookup always opens in IE from a bookmark in FF.

In the past, warranty/parts lookup did work with FF. No need for IE View on that page until today Warranty/parts lookup not working? (8).

I notice on one page, they admit the automatic lookup,
at least, may fail with non-Microsoft browsers, and may
even fail with them. I found I can only reach this
error page from Firefox:

Unable to determine your system configuration. Please use your browser's Back button to return to the previous page and navigate manually.

If you are not using Microsoft Internet Explorer
You may be receiving this error because your browser does not support ActiveX controls.

If you are using Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2
You may be receiving this error because you need to install an ActiveX control.

To install the ActiveX control and take advantage of this IBM Support technology:

1. Click the security warning that appears at the top of this window. The warning will appear in a yellow box and should read: "The previous site might require the following ActiveX control: 'IBM Access Support' from 'International Business Machines, Inc.'. Click here to install." After you click this warning, a menu will appear.

2. Click "Allow this page to install ActiveX controls".

3. Follow the instructions that appear to finish installing the ActiveX control.

That's exactly what I was referring to...along with the fact that there were occasions that I couldn't navigate through the site while placing an order if FF was being used...so I had to get out of Mint, boot into XP and go into IE...
